Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing their mind on a particular object, thought or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state. It is an ancient practice that has been around for many years. It is quite often misunderstood and also, unrecognised, as we all at some point in our lives have entered a meditative state; the pure joy of being present and in the moment. This could be a simple task of singing, dancing, or losing ourselves to a creative indulgence.

Meditation provides the opportunity to observe ourselves, to learn, witness and develop the many traits and aspects that go un-noticed and unrecognised. In a higher state of awareness, meditation offers mindful relief from mental and emotional baggage, to truly witness ourselves, what does not serve us and in turn allows us to see what we are truly capable of without the outside sways and influences holding us back.

There are many benefits to meditation:

  • Mindfulness
  • Self-discovery
  • Self-realisation
  • Heightened awareness
  • Improved outlook of self and life
  • Optimised wellness
  • Inner peace and balance
  • Reduces stress, anxiety and depression
  • Induces relaxation
  • Mood lifter
  • Brings clarity and peace of mind
  • Mindfulness for sleep
  • Increase focus

The list continues..... It all depends on what you seek and where you direct your intent, for that which you give yourself to mentally will reinforce and create the positive response in your life - 'what we think we create'.
